What is Prop Bet - ELO challenge?

All players participating in our Spin & Gold games are given an ELO ranking similar to those used in games such as Chess.

This Prop Bet allows a player to create a challenge in which they must increase their own ELO ranking to achieve a specified ELO ranking, the 'Goal Rating' within a specified timeframe. Or to increase their ELO by a specific amount during a specified period. For example to increase their ELO by 1000pts in 7 days.

How does the ELO challenge Prop Bet work?

Scenario A - Player must increase their ELO to a specific goal

Player A sets an ELO challenge to reach an ELO rank of 2000 within 30 days. They wager $100. There is no markup, and only one bettor is allowed.

Player B bets $100 that Player A will not achieve the ELO rank of 2000

If Player A reaches the ELO target before the 30 days end, they win the challenge and $100 from Player B.

If Player A fails to reach the ELO target in the timeframe - they lose the bet, and Player B is awarded $100 from Player A.

Scenario B - Player must increase their ELO by a specific amount

Player A sets an ELO challenge to increase their ELO rating by 1000 points within 30 days, They wager $100. There is no markup and only one bettor is allowed

Player B bets $100 that Player A will not achieve a 1000 pt increase in their ELO

If Player A increases their ELO by 1000pts from the ranking that it is when the bet commences (not when the wager is placed) within the specified time frame, they win the challenge and $100 from Player B

If Player A fails to increase their ELO by 1000pts from the ranking that it is when the bet commences (not when the wager is placed) within the specified time frame, they lose the challenge and Player B is awarded $100 from Player A

IMPORTANT: This challenge is measured from the time that the challenge starts, not when the bet is placed. So if the challenge is due to start at 08:00, whatever the challenger's ELO rating is at that point will be the starting point.

It is important to note Player A can cancel the bet at least 24 hours after the challenge begins, but by doing so, it will be forfeited, and the prize will be awarded to Player B at the specified end of the challenge.

If I set an ELO Challenge - will my progress be visible to the public?

Yes - your ELO Ranking will be visible.

Is it possible to have multiple Prop Bets running simultaneously?

Yes - you can have one of each type of Prop Bet running simultaneously.

Can I have more than one ELO challenge running at the same time?

No - you can only run one ELO challenge at a time.

What types of ELO challenge prop bets can I set?

ELO ranking is exclusive to Spin & Gold games. However, you can use any stakes and 3 or 6-handed games to complete your challenge.

Who can set an ELO Challenge prop bet?

ELO challenges can be set by an individual player (subject to availability in your region)

What are the steps for creating an ELO challenge?

1. In your GGPoker app, navigate to the Prop Bet section

2. Select the ELO challenge tab

3. Select the start time, end time, and target ELO ranking

4. Choose the number of bettors you wish to allow

5. Set the odds (markup)

What happens if I start my ELO challenge during a Spin & Gold game?

Only games that start after the challenge is set and end before the challenge is completed, are reflected in the rankings.

What is the maximum ELO ranking that I can set as a goal?

The maximum ELO is 4000. This is the highest goal that can be set.

What is the minimum ELO ranking that I can set as a goal?

The minimum ELO ranking that can be set as a goal is 300. However, you cannot set a goal lower than your current ranking.

What is the minimum markup I can set on an ELO Challenge?

Markup can be set to a minimum of 0.1

What is the maximum markup I can set on an ELO Challenge?

Markup can be set to a maximum of 2.0

What does markup mean in the context of an ELO Challenge?

Markup indicates how much you must stake to win $1 from the creator.

If the markup is 1.0, you will need to stake $1.

If the markup is 1.5, you will need to stake $1.50.

If the markup is 0.5, you will need to stake $0.50.

What is the minimum amount of bettors I can create an ELO Challenge against?

The minimum amount of bettors is 1.

What is the maximum amount of bettors I can create an ELO Challenge against?

The maximum amount of bettors is 100.

What is the minimum time period I can set for an ELO Challenge?

When creating an ELO Challenge - do I have to bet against other players?

No, you can select a single-player mode and are not required to bet against other players.

Due to local regulations, some players may only be able to select 'single player mode' for this prop bet.

What happens to my ELO Challenge during scheduled maintenance?

If maintenance occurs while an ELO Challenge is in progress, the ELO Challenge will be paused for one day based on the start time of the maintenance. The end of the challenge will be increased by one day. However, any ELO challenge scheduled to start during the maintenance will be cancelled.
