Decreasing Limits - Frequently Asked Questions

Written by Danny

Deposit Limits

How can a player decrease their deposit limit?
Players can lower their daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits at any time through the Responsible Gaming tab within the Natural8 application.

How long does it take for a limit decrease to take effect?
Unlike limit increases, all requests to lower a deposit limit are applied immediately. The new, tighter restriction will be active the moment the change is saved in the system.

Are there any restrictions on decreasing limits?
There are no waiting periods or approval processes required to reduce a limit. Players are encouraged to adjust their limits downward whenever they feel it is necessary to maintain a safe and enjoyable gaming experience.

Loss Limits

How is a loss limit reduced?
If a player wishes to tighten their net loss threshold (the maximum amount they can lose over a 24-hour, 7-day, or 30-day rolling period), they can do so instantly via the Responsible Gaming menu.

When does the lower loss limit become active?
Requests to decrease a loss limit take effect immediately. If the new, lower limit has already been exceeded by the player's recent activity, they will be restricted from further gameplay until the specified time period (daily, weekly, or monthly) resets.

Single Bet Amount Limits

Can a player lower their maximum bet per hand or tournament?
Yes. The Single Bet Amount Limit—which controls the maximum wager for a single hand, game, or tournament buy-in—can be reduced at any time.

Does a cooling-off period apply to bet limit decreases?
No. While increasing a bet limit requires a 24-hour wait, decreasing a bet limit is processed instantly. Once the player saves the new lower amount, they will be unable to place any single wager that exceeds that cap.

Important Reminders

What is the benefit of lowering limits?
Decreasing limits is a primary tool for bankroll management. By setting lower thresholds during a winning streak or a period of high activity, players can protect their balances and ensure they continue to play within their means.

Important Notice
All limits from the previous 30 days, 7 days, 24 hours are taken into consideration.

If a player has an existing limit of 1,000 and have reached that limit, any limit decrease will still count that previous amount if it falls within the same timeframe.
