What are the tiers in Ocean Rewards?
The program consists of eight distinct status tiers:
- Fish
- Shrimp
- Crab
- Turtle
- Octopus
- Dolphin
- Whale
- Shark
How is a player's tier determined?
A player's tier is determined by the total number of Tide Points earned during a single calendar year (from January 1st to December 31st).
How do players move up a tier?
Promotion occurs immediately once a player reaches the required Tide Point threshold for the next level. The specific point requirements for each tier are clearly displayed within the Ocean Rewards section of the application.
Do players have to wait until January 1st to be promoted?
One of the standout features of Ocean Rewards is Early Promotion. As soon as the necessary Tide Points are earned, the system automatically promotes the player to the next tier, allowing them to enjoy increased benefits and higher Gem earning rates immediately.
How long are tiers valid for?
Tiers are guaranteed for a full calendar year. A player’s status at 00:00 UTC on January 1st is locked in for the coming year. During this time, the player cannot be demoted, providing a full year of status security.
How are players demoted to lower tiers?
Demotion is dependent on the Tide Points earned by a player during the previous calendar year. For example, a Turtle Tier player must earn at least 200,000 Tide Points in a year to maintain that status for the following year. If they earn fewer than the required points, they will start the next year at a lower tier, though they remain eligible for early promotion again if they meet the points threshold later.
Can players be demoted more than one tier at a time?
Because a player's tier for the coming year is determined by the Tide Points earned in the previous year, it is possible for a player to be moved to any lower tier if their point total does not meet the maintenance requirements for their current level.
