Gems - Frequently Asked Questions

What are Gems?

Gems represent the spendable currency within Ocean Rewards. Unlike Tide Points, which track status, Gems are exchanged for rewards.

How are Gems earned?

Gems are earned concurrently with Tide Points during real-money play. The rate at which a player accumulates Gems is directly tied to their current tier; higher tiers benefit from increased earning rates.

Do Gems decay or expire?

Gems are designed for long-term accumulation and never decay or expire. This allows players to save their Gems over an extended period to redeem them for the most valuable reward packages available.

Can Gems be transferred to other players?

No, Gems are strictly non-transferable. They are tied to the individual GGPass and cannot be moved to other players or accounts.

How many Gems do players need to earn a reward?

The number of Gems required varies depending on the specific reward package. All claimable rewards and their respective costs are listed in the Ocean Rewards section of the Natural8 app. Players may claim a reward as soon as their Gem balance meets the requirements for a specific package.

Can Gems be saved up for larger rewards?

Yes, and doing so is beneficial. Gems increase in value as they are saved, because higher-tier reward packages offer a better "reward-per-Gem" ratio, providing greater overall value for those who choose to accumulate them.

Gem Multipliers

As players climb Ocean Rewards tiers, they unlock Gem Multipliers. These multipliers significantly increase the speed at which Gems are earned. Detailed information regarding the specific multiplier for each tier can be found in the Ocean Rewards section of the app.
